I don't like the pizza of Santino's but I like their Pasta range very much. For pizza I prefer Papa John's and Pizza Hut but for pasta it's Santino's and nothing else.


Great review! I always fail at taking decent pictures of a restaurant I want to review! =p because maybe I find it weird and strange taking pictures all over the place. But you take decent pictures and even picture the waiters! =p That's great.

I discovered that people at restaurants usually love to photographed, I feel that most of them think that I'm some sort of reporter or that I work for a magazine, and they usually treat me better after I take their photographs. :P

I've been to Santino's many times since they opened. Most of the starters are good but I am yet to find a single main course that I've liked. I didn't like the pasta. Didn't like the sandwiches. And particularly not the pizzas. The only way for me to have a satisfying meal there is to have two starters.


O Sole Mio, the Italian restaurant on the other end of the Jawaharat Al Shatti building never disappoints. It might not always serve an outstanding Italian meal, but it's never bad.

I did not like their pasta or sandwitches, but i see their pizza is fine...


O Solo Mio, i am not going there again until they have at least one decent waiter.

I passed by Jawharat Al Shatti today and noticed that Santino's s closed for remodeling. They're gonna open later this month with a bigger place and a new name. Santino's no more.

I used to work like Dining Supervisor for O Sole Mio last year and, to be honest, I never been in Santino's but, without an Italian Chef and, at least, one Italian Manager, you can't label these Restaurants like Italian Restaurants. They're just fakes, ItalianRestaurantswannabe! That's why O Sole Mio isn't busy anymore: you can't pretend to take in a mickey the customers...
